SAFETY EQUIPMENT

Safety equipment includes:

• HELMET - A properly fitting helmet should fit above the brow of the skater and the side straps should make triangles around the left and right ear. When the helmet is on fastened on the child's head, it should not move when the child bangs their head forward. 

• WRIST GUARDS

• ELBOW PADS

• KNEE PADS

• MOUTH GUARD (optional)

IMPORTANT: Please check your child's equipment when dropping off and picking up to make sure they are going home and leaving with all their equipment.

 

Students unwilling to keep safety equipment on while skateboarding will not be able to participate in camp for safety reasons.

SKATEBOARD

The recommended skateboard for camp is a two-tailed skateboard. These skateboards are best for skatepark use. Penny boards and longboards are great for cruising but not ideal for our program. Please visit our online store to view what a two-tailed skateboard looks like.
